第七屆新加坡詩歌比賽優勝獎得主蔡進航的這本中英文雙語首部詩集結合了東西方文化差異、在企業辛勞與生活中如何維持對藝術的熱忱與鍾愛、關於愛與時間的永恆真理, 以及對靈性與永恆的思考。這些詩歌或沈思或激昂，描繪了肉體與精神、東方與西方、邏輯與情感、未來與過去、現代與古典詩歌之間的對立，讓讀者的內省之旅變成一種形而上的體驗，使時間彷彿凝結成永恆的碎片，平凡化作瞬間的超越。詩集收錄七十餘對詩作，中英文並行：部分先以中文寫就後譯成英文，部分則由英文起筆再譯為中文，並配以個人書法與影像，展現語言、記憶與靈魂的交織，被視為近年來兼具文學性與跨文化視野的詩歌新聲。
 
Winner of the meritorious award at the 7th Singapore National Poetry Contest, David Cai presents his debut bilingual collection of English and Chinese poems, a work that bridges Eastern and Western cultural sensibilities. The poems explore how one sustains a passion for art amid the demands of corporate life, the timeless truths of love and time, and reflections on spirituality and eternity. Ranging from the meditative to the impassioned, these verses traverse the boundaries between body and spirit, East and West, logic and emotion, future and past, modern and classical poetics—transforming the reader’s introspection into a metaphysical experience where time seems to crystallise into fragments of eternity, and the ordinary is momentarily transcended. The collection features some seventy paired poems presented in both languages—some originally written in Chinese and translated into English, others conceived in English and rendered into Chinese—accompanied by the poet’s own calligraphy and photography.
